John was amazing and knowledgeable.
We were enormously fortunate to hear from someone who had lived the experience.
Couldn’t recommend John more highly.
Great tour overall!! Our guide happened to be there at the time of the Troubles and was able to share his own experience. Extremely interested tour. The only negative I can think about is that it lasted almost 2h30 instead of the 1h30 advertised (tour ended at 13:20pm instead of 12:30pm) - so it might be a good idea to update the description or work on the timekeeping as it could be an issue when people have other plans that same day, etc.

We so appreciated our guide Paul Doherty's passion, knowledge and humour. He gave a great tour, packed with the kind of details you don't get from a book. Getting insights from the son of a Bloody Sunday murder victim made for a vivid tour that we won't soon forget.

Izugarrizko tour-a! The tour provided both a very informative as well as interesting background of Derry, while making it dynamique and fun to walk around the town.
It is lovely to be told about the history of a town from the perspective of someone that was born there, was raised and lived his childhood during the Troubles, left as soon as he could and has now been able to come back to live freely in his own town.
To any family, couple or students who are interested on the evolution of Derry, and about the implications of the Troubles in the town, we 200% recommend this tour.
Gainera, turismo-gidaria, irlandarra izanik, Euskal Herrira egin zuen hanka 19 urte zituela: euskeraz mintzatzen da, inolako arazorik gabe :)
No better way to spend an amazing day in Derry <3

It was a really good experience. Very pleasant, professional , knowledgeable and funny guide. Sad stories but it help to put reality and a face on the many stories I heard and watched over the years
